Stacey A. Mirowski is a feminist lawyer originally from Thunder Bay, Ontario and now practicing in Ottawa, Eastern Ontario and Thunder Bay. Stacey is committed to advocating in the areas of disability, labour & employment, human rights and social justice. She articled at Canada’s largest public sector union working on grievance, arbitration and human rights files.
Stacey is committed to helping individuals and their families navigate the complexities of today's most stressful life situations. The loss of a job, workplace discrimination or even setting up a will can weigh heavily on many.
Stacey’s commitment to human rights is demonstrated by her years of volunteer work. She is the current Vice President of Harmony House, former Chair of the Women’s Legal Education and Action Fund (LEAF) Ottawa; a former LEAF at Work Coordinator/Facilitator and current Education Committee Member. She volunteered on Ottawa’s International Women’s Day/Femmy Awards Organizing Committee from 2012-2017 and as a LGBTQ+ identified person, sat as a Director on the Ottawa Capital Pride Community Advisory Committee helping to provide an environment for advocacy, education, and the fostering of a strong and vibrant Rainbow Community.
Committed to furthering access to justice (A2J), Stacey also offers pro-bono legal services to clients of Reach Canada and Youville Centre.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Stacey was a contracts specialist for 10 years. She has negotiated every type of contract from simple non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) to multi-million dollar purchase and service agreements.
